Beseler Overhead
Liquid Projectors

Our favorite liquid projectors. These units were originally military surplus overhead/opaque combos, thus the top quality optics gave great color plus nice depth-of-field for liquid work.
An usually large offset for the head post allowed truly big glass and recentering of glass in mask area.
Swivel heads could effectively pan all over screen if circular mask was used.
Color wheel motors installed, but rarely used.
Fan-cooled 3 station 1+KW dimmer panel includes presets and burst-buttons. Could take up to 1200W bulbs, but 1KW usually did the job!. A big show could use up to 5 of theses!
A large collection of glass allowed many different types of liquid stylings, at least 2-color, usually mixed to go opaque (and so off-screen) when top glass was lifted.

Note: Equipment was set up for demonstration to a rave buyer, but we decided not to sell. Shot 35mm in 1989.
