Undergraduate degree is required; an advanced degree in Health Administration, Business Administration or a related field is strongly preferred. A minimum of ten years management and administrative/operational experience in a complex, sophisticated and successful health insurance/managed care organization. Preferably, this experience will include P&L experience in a complex and sophisticated managed care environment in a marketplace known for its extreme in the operational/technical side of managed care including product development (including working with actuates), pricing, marketing and sales, medical cost management, and developing (in-house or by contract) the necessary infrastructure and systems to support the development of profitable managed care products. Extensive knowledge and experience with alternative delivery systems, provider and member relations and contracting in the overall managed care arena including experience with HMO, PPO, point-of-service, multi-option, senior, Medicaid and specialty products.
